Katelyn Xu, age 7, was one of the winners in a competition sponsored by the Piano Teachers Society of America.  Katelyn won in all four categories she entered, a total of ten memorized pieces for the audition.  Her performance in Carnegie Hall included “Staccato Beans” by Tan Dun, a challenging Chinese piece made famous by Lang Lang.
